As Head Electrician for Nastasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812 in the Catawba Theatre during my fourth year at UNCSA, I led the electrics team through the implementation of a highly complex and immersive lighting design. The production's 360-degree staging required intricate coordination between the lighting rig and scenic elements, including custom practicals and overhead grid mapping. I managed the installation of unconventional lighting positions, ensured safe power distribution, and collaborated closely with the designer and scenic team to arrange the tight space in the grid.

Throughout the process, I facilitated tech notes and cue adjustments in real time, maintained clear communication across departments, and managed a student crew through hang, focus, and show runs. With specific moving overhead lighting and heavy use of low-angled sources, the show demanded precision and adaptability. My role required balancing creative intent with logistical limitations, all while ensuring the show operated safely and efficiently each night. This production deepened my ability to lead under pressure, problem-solve in unconventional spaces, and support the storytelling with technically ambitious lighting.
